Canada has one of the world’s best environments for growing top-quality soybeans, with its clean air, pristine waters, fertile soil and progressive breeding programs.
Soybeans are now the third largest field crop in Canada, with an annual production of 6.27 million Metric Tonnes in 2021.
Nearly two-thirds of the soybeans grown in Canada are destined for export markets, either as food-grade soybeans or commodity soybeans for soy protein, vegetable oil etc.
China has ranked the second largest export market of Canadian soybeans for many years.
